(1) to acquire essential terminology of Accounting,
Corporate Finance and Marketing terminologies,
(2) to learn about the composition, style and tone of some short business messages;
(3) to learn to compose a research summary;
(4) to complete the prep program for BEC, leading to an official exam. |

The students having successfully worked at this course will have:
(1) acquired essential terminology of Accounting,
Corporate Finance and Marketing terminologies,
through discussions, listening and reading on
these topics;
(2) acquired the essentials of composition, style and
tone of short positive and negative news
messages:
(3) learned about and composed a professional
summary for a research project;
(4) completed the prep program leading to an official BEC exam. |

Course abstract
This is the second course on Business English, whose work proceeds essentially from the activities at course 1. The students acquire the essential terminologies of Accounting, Corporate Finance and Marketing, read specialist texts and discuss on the issues concerned. Likewise, they add to their writing skills some essential conventions of composing and styling short business letters. In addition, they acquire the techniques of composing a professional resume for their Major Projects. Last, but not least, they practice to acquire the skills and confidence needed to successfully take a BEC exam. |
