• To give the theoretical base of electrical equipment of infosystems.
• To teach to solve main problems of the theory mentioned above.
• To show the possible applications of the solutions mentioned above.
• To make the students accustomed with the usage of electrical devices of infosystems. |

| Learning outcomes of the subject |
Having finished the study of the subject a student has to be able:
• to describe principles of operation and main parameters of electrical equipment;
• to apply link budget estimation for analysis of electrical equipment;
• to use skills in eliminating of electromagnetical interferences (EMI);
• to use methods of analyze of economical effiency of electrical equipment;
• to check the correctness of results obtained by solution of practical exercises. |

| Subject course description |
1. Rectifier: transformator, diods, filters:
2. Stabilizer: parametrical and compensation stabilizers. Parameters of stabilizers. Voltage and current stabilizers. Analog and switching stabilizers. Stabilizers on the microcircuits.
3. Converters: Converters with and without transformers. Choke coil role in converter. Step up, step down and inverting converters of direct voltage. Properties and basic calculations of them.
4. Switching power supplies. Rectifiers at the high frequenyies.
5. Electric motors and generators: DC and AC micromotors and –generators, features of them. |
