LOTI.05.063 Radio Communications

Goal of the subject course is to develop students’ knowledgebase and practical skills in radio communications and measurements.

The student having passed the course:
1) can describe radio communication chain components (transmitter, receiver, antennas and cables) and its parameters;
2) recalls radio measuring instruments purpose, parameters and can use these for basic measurements.

Overview of radio measurement; using oscilloscope, power meter, spectrum analyser and signal generator for measurements in radio communication; transmitter, receiver, filter, cable and antenna parameters; generation and simulation of communication signals.
