Goal of subject

To improve the students’ competence in spoken English and improve their listening skills extending and reinforcing their knowledge of all vocabulary relating to aviation.

Learning outcomes of the subject

The student having passed the course:
1. knows all the aviation related vocabulary of the themes covered and is able to use it in practice;
2. can express him-/herself accurately and confidently in an interview situation;
3. can develop and participate in a discussion or talk on aviation related topics efficiently;
4. recognizes and understands English as spoken by different races and nationalities;

Subject course description

During the course the students cover the topics that meet the ICAO requirements on language proficiency for pilots. Mostly the course focuses on extending and reinforcing the specialty specific vocabulary, developing the fluency of speaking and listening comprehension.
