Subject 'Computer Hardware II'

The course gives to the student the general knowledge about computer hardware (in addition to those subjects already mentioned in the course Computer Hardware I).

After the course, the students are expected:
* Knows the components of a personal computer;
* Is capable to sectionate the hard disk;
* Is capable to choose the appropriate file system for a given operating system;
* Is capable to program the periferial-systems-control-programs;
* Is capable to choose the appropriate power supply, hard disk, printer etc for a given computer system.

The course talks about the general principles of computer architecture, working principles of computer components and corresponding hardware solutions. Students learn the programing of the devices connected to the serial port.
The assesments, home assinments and distribution of study material will be carried out in Blackboard learning environment.
